Kazakh delegation visits KU

SRINAGAR. April 15. KAZINFORM In a bid to facilitate academic collaborations between Kazakhstan and the Kashmir University, a six member delegation from the country visited KU.

The KU PRO said: "The delegation visited Centre of Central Asian Studies, University of Kashmir on 13th of April 2012 Friday." 

"The delegation had a daylong interaction with the Director Area Studies Prof G M Mir faculty and scholars of Centre for central Asian studies (CCAS) and resolved that mutual relationship and the coordination between CCAS KU and Kazakhstan need to be further strengthened," he added.

"In this backdrop an international seminar has been proposed to be organized in the month of September jointly by the CCAS and Kazakhstan," the PRO added, the Greater Kashmir reports.

"Earlier Director Area Studies referred to some of the prominent academic activities that have been undertaken by the CCAS to further strengthen the relations between Kazakhstan and India in general and Kashmir," the PRO said.
