Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister, State Minister of Commerce and Industry of India met
ASTANA. March 5. KAZINFORM Today Deputy Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has received State Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of India Ashwani Kumar, paying official visit to our country, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Prime Minister.
The sides shared opinions on the results of negotiations of Indian delegation in the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Energy and Mineral Resources, Healthcare and ?Samruk Kazyna? National Welfare Fund.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that within the visit of Kazakh President N.Nazarbayev to India on January 23-26, 2009 the Head of the State proposed to develop the road map, on the basis of Declaration on introducing the practical content to the Strategic Partnership. Such map can be adopted this year. The main parameters of the document should be defined within the seventh session of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Indian Commission in Astana.
The importance of cooperation in the field of peaceful use of atomic energy, providing preparations to sign a draft agreement, was discussed as well. The Indian Minister noted that the Indian side expects to accomplish work on the draft agreement within a month.
He also informed that the Kazakh side presented projects in energy, biotechnologies and pharmaceutical industries during the talks in Astana.
