Kazakh diplomat given rare honor from South Korean President
Former ambassador of Kazakhstan to South Korea Bakyt Dyussenbayev was honored with the Order of Diplomatic Service Merit – Grand Gwanghwa Medal – of the 1st Grade, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakh MFA.
Presenting the order, Cho Tae-ick, South Korea’s ambassador, expressed gratitude to Bakyt Dyussenbayev for his contribution to the development of bilateral ties between Astana and Seoul.
The Kazakhstani diplomat expressed gratitude to the President and Government of South Korea for such honor.
Dyussenbayev served as the Kazakh ambassador to South Korea from 2018 until 2023. He is the first Kazakh ambassador in South Korea to be awarded with the Grand Gwanghwa Medal.
Awarded by the President of South Korea, the medal is a rare honor and given for outstanding meritorious services in the interest of enhancing national prestige and promoting amity with allies.
