Kazakh Education Minister visits Moscow

ASTANA. February 12. KAZINFORM Minister of Education and Science Bakytzhan Zhumagulov is on a working visit to Moscow, Kazinform refers to his ministry's press service.

Minister Zhumagulov already had meetings with his Russian colleague Dmitry Livanov and Assistant to President of the Russian Federation Andrey Fursenko.

The meetings mainly focused on the interaction in the sphere of education and science between Kazakhstan and Russia. In particular, Kazakhstan seeks to expand educational opportunities for its students at Russian universities.

The ministers also agreed to upgrade the quality of work of branches and representative offices of the Russian universities in Kazakhstan.

B. Zhumagulov also met with rector of the Lomonosov Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichiy in order to touch upon the Kazakh-Russian joint efforts on integration of education, science and innovations, students and teachers exchange.
