Kazakh Education & Science Ministry holds online conference

ASTANA. August 18. KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ Today Kazakh Minister of Education and Science Zhanseit Tuimebayev is holding an online conference with the regional representatives of the education sphere.

Opening the forum the Minister pointed out Kazakhstan's achievements in the field of education. "We open a new academic year with definite success. For the first time ever Kazakhstan took part in the international comparative research on mathematics and natural science. In math our country ranked fifth after Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan. In natural science we took the 11^th place. The final result was the 7^th place. It shows how much attention is paid to education in Kazakhstan", Z. Tuimebayev noted.

Afterwards the Minister held talks with the regional education officials. Over 25 thousand teachers from all regions of the state are expected to join the conference.
