Kazakh ensemble Turan wows audience in Moldova

A concert of the Kazakh ethno-folklore ensemble “Turan”, dedicated to the Republic Day, was held at the famous Chisinau concert and theater hall, the Palace of the Republic, Kazinform Agency refers to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The concert was attended by members of the Moldovan Parliament, the Government, representatives of business and academic circles, as well as the diplomatic corps.

Opening the musical evening, Kazakh Ambassador Almat Aidarbekov expressed hope that this event will contribute to strengthening Kazakh-Moldovan cultural and humanitarian ties, and spiritual rapprochement of the people of the two countries.

Minister of Culture of Moldova Sergiu Prodan, who attended the event, noted the importance of giving new dynamics to cooperation between our countries in the cultural sphere, stressed the need to organize concerts of Moldovan musicians in Kazakhstan, and also wished the masters of Kazakh ethno-folklore music further creative growth.

The ensemble performed under the accompaniment of Kazakh instruments, such as dombra, kyl-kobyz, sherter and sazsyrnai, compositions such as “Uly Turan-Mangilik”, “Aksak kulan”, “Kazakh Eli”, “Er Turan”, “Kara zhorga” and others.

The Moldovan audience was delighted with the joint performance of the composition “Ayttym Salem, Kalamkas” by People’s Artist of Moldova Konstantin Moskovich and the group “Turan”.
