Kazakh-European relations became stronger for last decades - President of European Council
According to him, Astana and Brussels succeeded in establishing system of effective bilateral dialogue including the dialogue on the issues of human rights. 'Kazakhstan and the EU have considerably strengthened cooperation in such spheres as trade, investments, transportation, power industry, environment, etc. In 2009 we renewed our agreements on partnership that was the basis of our bilateral relations. I am glad to see that this process develops in a successful way', Mr. Rompuy said.
Besides, the President of the EU Council noted that the current visit of Nursultan Nazarbayev to Brussels was a good proof of strong cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU. He also reminded that it was the second meeting with the President of Kazakhstan this year. 'I hope we will see each other again at the OSCE Summit in Astana on December', he added.
