Kazakh female skaters win 2 medals at ISU Junior World Cup 1
Kazakh female skaters grabbed two medals at the ISU Junior World Cup Speed Skating 2023/24 #1 being held in Italy’s Baselga di Piné, Kazinform News Agency reports via the Ministry of Culture and Sport.
20-year-old Inessa Shumekova clinched a gold medal in Neo-seniors’ 500m race having run the distance within 39.98 seconds.
Belgian skater Fran Vanhoutte came second – 40.17 seconds.
Another Kazakhstani skater Margarita Artemjeva, aged 22, finished third – 40.50 seconds.
Other Kazakhstani athletes Mariya Kuznetsova and Alena Lifatova finished 9th and 10th rescpectively.
