Kazakh female weightlifters bag silver, bronze medals at Asian Championships in Doha

Kazakhstan’s female weightlifters claimed silver and bronze medals at the 2024 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships ongoing in Doha, Qatar, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the Weightlifting Federation of Kazakhstan.

Darya Balabayuk won three silver medals in women’s 55kg, having lifted a total of 185kg (83kg in snatch+102kg in the clean and jerk)

Nurssila Berikbol took a bronze medal in the same weight division, having lifted a total of 165kg (72kg in snatch +93kg in the clean and jerk).

Earlier,  Team Kazakhstan secured third place at the 2024 World Weightlifting Championships among men and women held in Manama, Bahrain.

As reported, Kazakhstan will host to the 2025 Asian Juniors and Youth Weightlifting Championships.
