Kazakh financial police denies it has arrested Sapar Mami

ASTANA. March 14. KAZINFORM The Agency for Fight against Economic and Corruption-Related Crimes of Kazakhstan (financial police) has debunked the rumors regarding the arrest of Sapar Mami circulated by mass media.

"Some mass media has put a word out that financial police has detained Sapar Mami, thought to be a sibling of Senate Speaker Kairat Mami. These allegations are totally untrue," the agency's statement reads.
