Kazakh FM meets Turkmen President in Ashgabat

ASTANA. April 13. KAZINFORM On the threshold of a conference of the CIS Foreign Ministers in Ashgabat Kazakhstan FM Marat Tazhin met April 10 with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Kazinform reports.

As the press service of the Kazakh MFA informed, the parties focused on expansion and deepening bilateral cooperation in different sectors and the course of realization of the agreements reached on the highest level. Mr. Berdimuhamedow confirmed his participation in a summit of the heads of the states ? founders of the International Aral Sea Rehabilitation Fund. Alongside the parties discussed the issues of preparation for a session of the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan Intergovernmental Commission scheduled for this week in Astana, the prospects of interaction in energy, transport, communications and on the Caspian Sea. As for the cultural-humanitarian partnership, the Kazakh FM and the Turkmen President discussed the course of arrangement of the Days of Kazakhstan Culture in Turkmenistan this summer.
