Kazakh FM meets with counterparts on the margins of III Antalya Diplomacy Forum

On the sidelines of the Diplomacy Forum in Antalya, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held separate talks with the heads of Foreign Ministries of Russia, Sergey Lavrov; Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov; Azerbaijan, Ceyhun Bayramov; Slovakia, Juraj Blanar; Northern Macedonia, Bujar Osmani and Moldova, Mihail Popshoi, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the parties highly appreciated the level of relations between the two countries, and also discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Kazakh-Russian cooperation. The Ministers also reviewed the calendar of upcoming events and “compared notes” on topical issues of the international and regional agenda.

Ways to expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation were discussed with his Uzbek counterpart Saidov, and the importance of finding new growth points and increasing trade turnover was emphasized. The need to further strengthen comprehensive cooperation between the two countries was noted.

During the talks with the head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Bayramov, the key aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were raised. The sides also exchanged views on increasing trade turnover and transit and transport potential.

With the Foreign Ministers of Slovakia, North Macedonia and Moldova, Murat Nurtleu discussed the current situation and prospects for the development of cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats, including mutual support in international organizations. The prospects of Kazakh-Slovak cooperation and the existing potential in trade, economic and investment spheres were noted. With North Macedonia, attention was paid to increasing the volume of mutual trade and the development of such areas of cooperation as transport, logistics, agriculture and tourism. There is an active dynamic in the development of economic ties with Moldova, the parties confirmed their intention to strengthen all areas of cooperation.

Within the framework of the Forum, the Kazakh Foreign Minister also held bilateral talks with Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliyev and President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoti Raimkulova.

The interlocutors discussed issues of cooperation between the participating countries of the organization, exchanged views on joint projects and initiatives aimed at developing friendly relations, and also confirmed their interest in preserving and promoting the Turkic cultural heritage and developing cultural and humanitarian ties between the countries.
