Kazakh FM, US Assistant Secretaries of Defense met in Astana

ASTANA. March 16. KAZINFORM Today Kazakh Foreign Affairs Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov has received Madelyn Creedon, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Global Strategic Affairs (GSA) and Andrew Weber, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense.

The parties debated the agenda of the forthcoming second Nuclear Security Summit set for March 26-27 in Seoul and preparations for the high-level meeting of Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Barack Obama on the sidelines of the high-level conference in Seoul.  

As Mr Weber stated, Kazakhstan continues fruitful cooperation with the US. The Kazakh-US strategic partnership program was set up to develop strategic dialogues on energy, trade and investments.

"We are satisfied with the results of our cooperation and hope for their further development," Andrew Weber said.
