Kazakh Foreign Affairs Minister invited Indian businessmen to joint high-tech industries
"During the visit to Delhi Kazakh Foreign Minister conducted official talks with Vice President, Chairman of the Upper House of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) of India Mohammad Ansari and his Indian counterpart Salman Khurshid," the statement reads.
At the negotiations with S.Hurshidom the sides exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda, state and prospects of bilateral collaboration.
"Both parties hailed dynamically developing bilateral relations confirming their interest in building a constructive dialogue on regional and global security, rehabilitation of Afghanistan and cooperation within the multilateral format including in the framework of the UN, the CICA and the SCO", the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reports.
During the talks with the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India Veerappoy Moyle and CEOs of major Indian companies have been addressed to the specific areas of cooperation in the field of oil & gas and pharmaceutical industries and transport infrastructure.
At the "round table" with business and academia in India Yerlan Idrisov noted that the political course led by the President of Kazakhstan, as set out in the Strategy of Development of Kazakhstan till 2050, is aiming at our country's joining the most developed countries of the world.
"The head of Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry urged businessmen of India to take full advantage of high potential business cooperation, favorable investment climate in Kazakhstan and the new opportunities for joint high-tech industries having been opened with formation of the Customs Union", the press service of the Foreign Ministry says.
As it is well-known, Kazakhstan firmly holds the position of the largest trade and investment partner of India in Central Asia (the trade between India and Kazakhstan for 2012 totaled $ 525 million, where export made 190 million, and import amounted to 335 million).
