Kazakh Foreign Intelligence Service established

ASTANA. February 17. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the Decree ?On measures of strengthening of the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan and further modernization of the intelligence service?, Kazinform refers to the Presidential press service.

In accordance with the document, ?Syrbar? Foreign Intelligence Service of Kazakhstan was established as a state body, subordinate and accountable to the President in order to realize the Strategy of the National Security of Kazakhstan for 2007-2012, strengthen national security and optimize the structure of special services of Kazakhstan. Alongside, the Decree abolishes the ?Barlau? Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.
