Kazakh Foreign Minister to visit China

BEIJING. KAZINFORM - Foreign Affairs Minister of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov is set to pay an official visit to China on March 18-19 at the invitation of his counterpart - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei announced the news on Friday. At the Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) that will be held in May in Shanghai, China plans to come forward with an initiative of forming a new security concept in Asia. The new concept will be based on the cooperation and integrated security in Asia. It will help build peace, stability and interaction in Asia, according to Minister Wang Yi. In 2014, China became a host country of the CICA.
