Kazakh Foreign Ministry insists on thorough inspection of adoptive parents' docs

ASTANA. February 28. KAZINFORM "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan calls on the adoption agencies more thoroughly check the documents of foreign nationals wishing to adopt a child from Kazakhstan, so that children do not end up in a family with different sexual orientations," director of the Department of Consular Service of the MFA Daurenbek Yryskali has announced today at the "round table" on adoption.

According to him, many countries with advanced democracies have passed legislation legalizing gay marriage and allowing homosexuals to adopt children.

"These laws have been adopted in some states in the U.S., Spain, Norway and Sweden. Question of adopting such regulations is regarded in Germany and France, " D. Yryskali added.
