Kazakh frontier patrol foils poultry smuggling from Kyrgyzstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Frontier Service of Kazakhstan`s National Security Committee has foiled an attempt to smuggle one ton of poultry on the Kazakh-Kyrgyz state border.

According to its press service, the offense was prevented on July 27, 2014. ‘Grodekovo' Border Guard found a hole in the spiral security barrier.

The smugglers tried to escape and the frontier guards had to use traumatic weapons. The smugglers` truck drove into a ravine and capsized. About 1 ton of poultry was found in the truck. The case is currently under investigation.
