Kazakh frontiersmen detained poachers with 1 ton of sturgeons

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakh border guards of the regional office "Coast Guard" detained 4 poachers from Azerbaijan, the press-service of the National Security Committee Frontier Service informed.

The poachers did not obey the orders to stop and tried to escape. However, all of them were detained. 25 boxes of layered fishnet and 240 fishes of sturgeons weighting about 946 kilograms were found during the inspection of the poachers' boat. Law-enforcement bodies have been informed about the detention. The investigation is underway.
