Kazakh General Prosecutor, British Ambassador discuss cooperation on international security

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Daulbayev has held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain in Kazakhstan Dr. Carolyn Brown and the liaison officer and regional coordinator in Central Asia of the UK National Agency for Combating Crime Frederick Hellon, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office informs.

A.Daulbayev informed the interlocutors about the main activities of the prosecution authorities aimed at ensuring the rule of law, the fight against crime. The round table discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the legal sphere, particularly in the fight against transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, cyber-crime, terrorism, extremism, human trafficking and issues related to children's rights. There has been also considered the expansion of the legal framework. F.Hellon praised the role of the Kazakh Prosecutor's Office in the implementation of international legal policy of the country and confirmed the intention to continue cooperation in issues related to the overall strategic objectives aimed at ensuring international and regional security.
