Kazakh General Prosecutor's Office signs memo of understating with FBI

ASTANA. November 18. KAZINFORM. Kazakh Prosecutor General Kairat Mami met with FBI Director Robert Mueller in Astana yesterday; Kazinform refers to the Prosecutor General's press service.

A memorandum of understanding between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States Department of Justice was signed.

According to the document, the parties intend to render mutual legal assistance particularly in struggle against organized crime and legalization of revenues from criminal acts.

The memo also provides for cooperation in the field of training and advanced vocational training of prosecutors, exchange of experience and information on national legislation, lawmaking activity and modern methods of investigation.
