Kazakh-German economic forum to be held in Berlin

ASTANA. February 3. KAZINFORM Today Berlin will hold an event dedicated to opening of ?The Year of Kazakhstan in Germany? with participation of the two presidents; Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning.

As earlier reported, within the state visit of President of Germany Horst Kohler on September 2-4, 2008 to Kazakhstan the two states reached an agreement on holding ?The Year of Kazakhstan in Germany? in 2009 and ?The Year of Germany in Kazakhstan? in 2010. At present the Kazakh side established an action plan on ?The Year of Kazakhstan in Germany? in 2009 and a structure of the organization committee, a Chairman of which is Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov. He is a co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-German working group on economic cooperation. The plan foresees 40 events, 17 out of them are of economic bloc. Within the opening of ?The Year of Kazakhstan in Germany? the Kazakh-German economic forum will be held. Kazakhstan?s President Nursultan Nazarbayev is expected to attend it. Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov, Federal Minister of Economics and Technology Michael Glos, representatives of business circles of the two countries will take part in it. Within the framework of the forum it is expected a signing of a number of commercial agreements between the two countries? business circles.
