Kazakh-German joint venture established for rail fastenings production

ASTANA. September 19. KAZINFORM – In Kapshagay town of the Almaty region the Kazakh-German joint venture named "Vossloh Fastenig Systems Kazakhstan" JSC on production of modern resilient rail fasteners has been established, according to the press service of the National Agency for Export and Investment "Kaznex Invest" of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan.

The plant was set up by a global leader in rail infrastructure "Vossloh AG" in partnership with local company "Production Company" Dorplast-invest" LLC and with the assistance of the National Agency "Kaznex Invest". This is the first joint venture of the group among the CIS and Baltic countries on production of rail fasteners. The new factory's capacity equals to more than 1 million sets of elastic rail fastenings a year. It will provide annual needs for "NC" Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC, "Metropolitan Almaty" CSE, "LRTAstana'' LLP. The project will create 50 new jobs.

"Fosslo Fastenig Systems Kazakhstan" LLP is actively developing export potential. To date, customers in Russia, Ukraine , Mongolia , Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan pay huge interest towards the Kazakhstani products.
