Kazakh-German Space Days held in Bremen

The Kazakh delegation headed by Chairman of the National Space Agency Talgat Mussabayev includes representatives of ?Kazakhstan garysh sapary? JSC, ?Baiterek? Socio-Entrepreneurial Corporation and ?Infracos-Ecos?. The event was opened with speeches of Kazakh Ambassador to Germany N. Onzhanov and Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan to the federal land of Bremen ? Chairman of the Management Board of ?OHB-System AG?, Prof. Manfred Fuchs. T. Mussabayev and head of German Aerospace Center Johann-Dietrich Worner made reports on development of space industry in their countries. The Kazakh side noted leading positions of German aerospace industry, where 90% of space enterprises are involved into the process of integration and take active part in implementation of nearly all pan-European programs. Professor Worner appreciated Kazakhstan?s efforts on development of space industry and expressed interest in deepening of bilateral relations. According to him, German advanced technologies in the sphere of space may be used in Kazakhstan. Representatives of German and Kazakh space companies, scientific-research institutes made reports and presentations on their activity. The Kazakh side emphasized Kazakhstan?s intention to develop its space industry using experience of other states, particularly Germany. The delegation also met with Prime Minister of the State of Bremen, Mayor Jens Boehrnsen, who expressed interest in multilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan. The Kazakh representatives are planned to visit production enterprises and laboratories of OHB and EADS companies as well as scientific production centers in Bremen.
