Kazakh Government approved draft statement on economic policy stances

ASTANA. January 18. KAZINFORM. /Damir Baimanov/ Kazakhstan Government has approved the draft statement of the National Bank and Agency for Regulation and Control over Financial Market and Financial Organizations on basic stances of the country's economic policy for 2011. Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zhanar Aitzhanova submitted the document at today's meeting in the Government.

The Minister outlined four stands of the country's economic policy as to raise competitive strength, fulfill programs aimed at economic diversification, ensure stable employment and growth of household income, and to put into effect state programs on developing human capital.

As stated there, one of the priorities of the country's economic policy in 2011 is to monitor price setting and provide price stability in the home market, first of all, on socially important food products.

The policy will be aimed at facilitating stability, transparency and efficiency of the country's financial sector.
