Kazakh Government discussed development of social entrepreneurial corporations

ASTANA. January 22. KAZINFORM Session on the issues of further development of Social Entrepreneurial Corporations (SEC), chaired by Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev has been held today at the Ukimet Uiy, Kazinform refers to the Governmental press service.

Representatives of the Kazakh Ministries of Industry and Trade, Finances, Economy and Budget Planning, Energy and Mineral Resources, ?Samruk Kazyna? National Welfare Fund, ?KazAgro? National Holding, heads of SEC, deputy governors, responsible for work of the SEC took part in the session. Further development of SEC in the structure of ?Samruk Kazyna? Fund, current problems of SEC, the regulatory framework of their work were discussed at the session. Upon the results of the SEC heads's reports on the activity for 2007-2008 it was summed up that certain work has been held during this period, but current progress rates are not enough satisfactory. At the end of 2008 all SEC were included to the system of companies of ?Samruk Kazyna? Fund and for today all handover procedures were accomplished. The Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister set the ad hoc group the task to elaborate a concept of further development of social entrepreneurial corporations, taking into account their missions, defined in the development concept ?Promotion of economic development of the regions through public-private partnerships, the role of development institutions in the field". The concept will be discussed at the standing session in a week. Within the next sessions, that will be held every week on Thursday, the activity of every SEC in particular, including issues of internal organization as well as ongoing and scheduled projects will be discussed in details. Chairmen of SEC, heads of daughter companies will be heard at the sessions. Reports of responsible deputy governors of corresponding regions will be listened to as well.
