Kazakh Government to cooperate with ISO

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Government of Kazakhstan is set to ink a memorandum of cooperation with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Birzhan Kaneshev, the Chairman of the Technical Regulation and Meteorology Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, announced the news after the Monday meeting with ISO Secretary General Rob Steele. "We are planning to sign the memorandum with ISO in the nearest future. The memo will cover such priority fields for us as technical assistance, consulting, trainings, use of international standards in a number of spheres, for instance, food industry and health care," Mr. Kaneshev added.
