Kazakh-Indian duo upset at ITF Dominican Republic 10A finals
World No. 151 Zhibek Kulambayeva finished her performance at the ITF Dominican Republic 10A in Punta Cana, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Paired with Indian Sahaja Yamalapalli, the Kazakh tennis player lost to Canada’s duo of Ariana Arseneault and Kayla Cross in the Women’s Doubles finals in three sets with a score of 1:6, 7:5, 8:10. The match lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes.
The Canada tennis players were the top-seed at the tournament. Kulambayeva and Yamalapalli seeded second.
It bears reminding that Zhibek Kulambayeva cruised into the Women’s Singles finals at the ITF Dominican Republic 10A in Punta Cana. The Kazakh tennis player will be vying against Karina Miller in the final bout on September 15.
