Kazakh-Indonesian Business Forum started in Astana

"We believe this forum will contribute in large to the development of economic cooperation between the two countries," moderator of the forum - President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kazakhstan Sabyr Yesimbekov said speaking at the forum.
In turn, Vice Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan Timur Zhaksylykov stressed that holding of the forum is an important event for business sectors of the two countries.
"This is a unique opportunity to discuss and forge relationships between the Kazakh-Indonesian business circles. The visit emphasizes the both leaders' commitment and allows to make Kazakhstan and Indonesia closer for the benefit of our peoples," Mr. Zhaksylykov added.
According to him, Kazakhstan and Indonesia have marked 20 years since diplomatic relations establishment in June this year. Current situation and perspectives of the bilateral relations are characterized by stability and lack of conflicts.
Issues of cooperation in pharmaceutical industry, tourism, transport, logistics, oil and gas sector, furniture trade, chemicals, aviation, food, banking and agrarian sectors are expected to be considered at the forum.
Kazakhstan's bid to host the World Petroleum Congress in Astana in 2017 will be the separate topic of the meeting.
Besides, a number of documents is planned to be signed within the business forum.
