Kazakh industrial production rose 0.4% in 11 months on copper

ASTANA. December 11. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's industrial production increased 0.4 percent in January through November from a year earlier, led by growth in copper output, the state statistics agency said.

Copper production advanced 7.9 percent to 332,600 metric tons in the period, the Astana-based agency said today on its website. Ferroalloys grew 2.9 percent in the first eleven months to 1.6 million tons, the agency said.

Rolled steel output slumped 18 percent to 2.3 million tons in the period, the agency said.

Oil and gas condensate output fell 1.4 percent to 72.3 million tons in the January to November, while natural gas rose 1.7 percent to 36.7 billion cubic meters, the agency said, Kazinform has learnt from Bloomberg.
