Kazakh-Japanese consultations of Foreign Ministries held in Astana
ASTANA. April 14. KAZINFORM Regular round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Kazakhstan and Japan was held Saturday in Astana. Kazakh side was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Nurlan Yerkembayev, Japanese side – by Deputy Director of the Bureau on European Affairs of the Japanese Foreign Ministry Nobukatsu Kanehara, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The sides discussed the realization of the arrangements achieved during the official visit of the Kazakh President to Japan on June 18-22, 2008.
The sides exchanged opinions on the issues of bilateral trade-investment cooperation, extension of the contractual basis between Kazakhstan and Japan, and interaction within the international organizations. The agreement on promotion of the status of the Kazakh-Japanese Committee on Cooperation was achieved.
