Kazakh khanate in spotlight of international conference

SHYMKENT. KAZINFORM - Role of Turkestan in the history of Kazakh khanate was in the spotlight of the international scientific and practical conference held in South Kazakhstan region.

Researchers and historians from Uzbekistan, Turkey and the U.S. gathered to discuss the history of Turkestan, Kazakh khanate, Khoja Akhmet Yassawi's heritage and many other issues. The conference was held in three languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English. Organizers of the event believe that historic milestones celebrated in Kazakhstan this year - the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh khanate, the 20th anniversary of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan and the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and 70th anniversary of the Great Victory - are of paramount importance. These milestones play key role in upbringing the upcoming generation in the spirit of patriotism.
