Kazakh-Kyrgyz Centre for Emergency Situations to be established in Almaty
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Majilis has approved the draft law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the establishment of the Centre for Emergency and Disaster Risk Reduction".
According to the Minister of Emergency Situations Vladimir Bozhko, Government of Afghanistan has requested to join the initiative. It is also planned to attract Tajikistan for the center establishment.
V.Bozhko noted that the project will require KZT 44,895,000. In addition, each party takes its share of expenses.
