Kazakh Language Olympiad winners receive First President’s Fund awards

ALMATY. November 12. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ The Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan has awarded 15 secondary school students who are the winners of the Almaty regional Kazakh Language Olympiad among 10-11 grade students with certificates and money prizes on Thursday.

"It is good to see the increasing number of students of other nationalities join the classes where learning is performed in the Kazakh language. The main task of the teachers is to improve the quality of Kazakh language teaching", Director of secondary school of Karasay municipality, Kazakh language teacher Zhamilya Mankeyeva said.

230 students took part in the competition. Winner of the Olympiad Yerasyl Kassymaliyev form secondary school named after I.Altynsarin studies in school with Russian language of instruction and thinks that his winning is a merit of his teachers who use interesting approaches to teaching the Kazakh language.

The Olympiad was organized by the educational fund of Karassay municipality under the Fund of the First President together with the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.
