Kazakh-Malaysian business forum kicks off in Kuala Lumpur
Representatives of business communities of two countries, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulation of activities of the regional financial centre of Almaty, Kazakhstan Development Bank, financial institutions and organizations of the South-East Asia and other large banks took part in the forum. The Kazakh delegation was headed by Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Yerkhat Iskaliyev.
The main purpose of the forum is to present investment projects within the program of forced industrial-innovative development, attraction of finances from South-East Asia, in particular from Malaysia for industrialization purposes of the country and development of prior sectors of the economy, outlined in the program.
Taking into account the development of the Islamic financing in Malaysia, one of the main themes of discussions was introduction of instruments of Islamic financing in Kazakhstan and opportunities for issuance of Islamic debt securities "Sukuk".
