Kazakh MFA hopes to agree on mutual beneficial use of water resources in C Asia
ASTANA. November 28. KAZINFORM "Water resources of Central Asia are unevenly distributed," Ambassador-at-large of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Timur Orazayev told the regional forum themed "Trade and cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Afghanistan for economic growth" in Astana.

According to him, today rational use of trans-boundary rivers and ecological security in Central Asia are the most urgent issues of the agenda for the problem is of global importance. "It is crucial to observe forming of the balance of interests between irrigation and hydroelectric engineering," he added. "We regard the water problem as the key one, or the focal point of the Central Asian policy today. We are ready for cooperation," he went on.
