Kazakh MFA urges EU to accelerate talks on simplifying visa procedures for Kazakhstanis

'Kazakhstan is interested in signing an agreement with the EU on simplification of the visa regime, transfer of the persons illegally residing on the territory of the partner country. Certainly, we have to move towards our goal together. Therefore we are addressing the delegation of the EU to support the initiative of Kazakhstan on visa regime simplification within the structures of the European Union', Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Rapil Zhoshybayev said it.

'Kazakhstan is making big progress in this regard. Thus, citizens of all 47 member-countries of the EU are subject to simplified visa regime. In this regard we would like to call on European colleagues to discuss the issue on the visa regime simplification as soon as possible, R. Zhoshybayev added.

R. Zhoshybayev also informed that Kazakhstan had signed agreements on visa free regime for holders of diplomatic passports with 50 states, for holders of service passports with 34 countries and for national passports with 15 countries.

'Kazakhstan takes all needed measures on approximating the laws and practices of sides in order to counter illegal migration and organized crime, etc.', R. Zhoshybayev emphasized.
