Kazakh Minister of Defense inspects Abai garrison training camps

Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ruslan Zhaksylykov has undertaken a working visit to the Abai garrison. During the visit, the minister visited a number of military units and facilities, as well as observed the progress of training of those liable for military duty at training camps, Kazinform News Agency cites the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The minister inspected the construction progress of facilities on the territory and the training points of the military firing range of the inter-service training range, where a test firing with military conscripts was conducted.

In recognition of exemplary performance of military duty at military training camps, the most outstanding military conscripts were gifted with commemorative wristwatches and books by renowned writer Alexander Bek, author of "Volokolamsk highway".

Recall, from July 18 to August 16, 30-day military training camps with persons liable for military duty are held in the Abai garrison.
Ruslan Zhaksylykov visited a military hospital as well as a plant of JSC “Semey Engineering”, where he met with the management of the enterprise engaged in the development, production, repair and maintenance of defense and civilian products.
