Kazakh movie wins at XX Kazan International film festival
A cameraman of the “Bauyryna Salu” (the Brother) film, Zhanarbek Yeleubek has been recognized as "Best Cinematographer of a Feature Film" at the Altyn Minbar International Film Festival in Kazan city, Kazinform News Agency reports has learned from the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Information.
The film was produced with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Center for Support of National Cinema.
The movie, directed by Askhat Kuchinchirekov, continues to receive recognition at various film festivals, including a premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival, the Critics' Choice Award for Best Debut in Kazakhstan, and the Best Youth Film Award at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA).
The XX Kazan International film festival ran between September 6-11. The event brought together filmmakers from 40 countries.
