Kazakh Ombudsman met with EU Special Representative for Central Asia

ASTANA. March 24. KAZINFORM Kazakh Human Rights Commissioner Askar Shakirov has met with Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia Pierre Morel in Astana today; Kazinform refers to the Ombudsman's Office.

The sides discussed the issues of Kazakh-European partnership, particularly regarding the provision of human rights.

The EU Special Representative was familiarized with the principles of work of the Kazakh Ombudsman's Office as well as the activities of the state in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms.

The parties agreed to continue mutually beneficial cooperation.
