Kazakh paralympic swimmers to conquer Denmark

KARAGANDA. February 28. KAZINFORM A meeting involving Paralympic swimmers and kids with disabilities took place in Karaganda, the National Paralympic Committee of Kazakhstan informed.

Paralympic athletes and masters of sport in swimming Anuar Akhmetov, Siyazbek Daliyev and Mikhail Yeremenko came from Astana.

"Human potential is limitless; athletes with disabilities have equal rights and opportunities as other people do. In sport we are equal," said A. Akhmetov, the record holder of the 2010 Asian Championship and the 6th spot of the International ranking in paralympic swimming.

M. Yeremenko said 'the motivation is the key'. And S. Daliyev, in his turn, added children should go in for sports, set goals and achieve them.

The athletes informed of the upcoming international tournament in Denmark. They also said they planned to take part in the World Championships in Canada in August and the Asian Games in Malaysia in October.

The meeting with paralympic swimmers was organized by the National Paralympic Committee in association with the "Samruk-Kazyna" National Welfare Fund" JSC.
