Kazakh parliament ratifies Agreement on interstate search of persons in CIS

Introducing the bill to Senate members, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Marat Demeuov said on Thursday that the document envisages the formation and maintenance of a centralized information set of interstate searches for people by the main information-analytic center of the Russian Interior Ministry.

CIS countries will cooperate in the execution of requests, exchange of information on wanted persons and joint quick-search operations.

Earlier, the Former head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Criminal Police Committee of the Interior Ministry, Murat Shamgunov said that over 2,000 Kazakhs are internationally wanted, Kazinform refers to trend.az.

"According to official data, about 2,300 criminals who are Kazakh citizens are internationally wanted, about 1,500 thousand people are missed. Among them, about 200 people are wanted for murder, 30 people - for terrorism, 134 - for robbery and theft . Each is charged with certain articles of the Criminal Code, " Shamgunov said.
