Kazakh parliamentary delegation to take part in OSCE PA winter session in Vienna

ASTANA. February 18. KAZINFORM A Parliamentary delegation of Kazakhstan headed by Chairman of Senate Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev will participate in a winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna on February, 18-21, Kazinform has learnt from the Senate?s press-service.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev will take floor during the special session dedicated to the presentation of ?The Road to Europe? State Program for 2009-2011. The Head of the Upper Chamber of the RK parliament will acquaint the parliamentary community with the basic outlines and goals of the Program including law making activity of the Parliament in the context of Kazakhstan?s preparation for OSCE chairmanship. Chairman of the Kazakh Senate Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev is scheduled to have meetings with President of the Republic of Austria Heinz Fischer and head of Federal Assembly (of the Parliament) of Austria, Head of the Federal Council (Bunderstrat) Harald Reisenberger and Chairman of the National Council Barbara Prammer for enhancement of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Austria. The meeting of the Kazakh parliamentarians with ?Austria ? Central Asia and Caucasus? deputies is also planned to be held during the session.
