Kazakh peacekeepers attend IAPTC conference in Kenia
As the press service of the ministry informed, over 300 representatives of 80 countries’ peacekeeping training centers gathered at the IAPTC for discussing the role of partnership in peacekeepers training.
The participation in the conference enabled the Kazakh side to get acquainted with the tendencies and requirements in peacekeeping activity and establish new contacts. With the new information obtained, we will be able to timely update our program of training the national peacekeeping contingent, Bauyrzhan Nigmetullin, chief of the peacekeeping training centre, says.
The conference is aimed at enhancement of peacekeeping potential, assessment and development of strategic cooperation of international organizations, governments and local authorities interested in raising the effectiveness of responding to emergency situations.
Established in 1995, the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres has already trained more than 50,000 peacekeepers from 190 countries.
