Kazakh peacekeepers return from Mali
Two officers of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan have returned to the homeland after a year of service in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Republic of Mali (MINUSMA), Kazinform News Agency reports via the Ministry of Defense.
They served there as staff officers.
“During the mission we have gathered and analyzed information, compiled recommendations and propositions for the headquarters on its technical maintenance and checked UN bases’ readiness in the areas of responsibility,” peacekeeper Yermek Tulessov says.
Upon arrival to Kazakhstan, lieutenant colonel Yermek tulessov will continue teaching at the Kazakhstan Peace Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defense. Several years ago he served in the UN Mission in Western Sahara.
