Kazakh PM Akhmetov meets with BIE Sec Gen Loscertales
The sides discussed issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the BIE in the preparation of the international specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana.
The Prime Minister announced the start of construction of the first exhibition facilities, according to the website of Prime Minister.
"Construction will begin in May," Akhmetov said.
"At the end of last year we passed the law that creates legal framework needed for the timely construction of facilities and infrastructure of the exhibition and deals with the procedural and organizational issues related to EXPO 2017. In a word, there are no unsolvable issues," the Prime Minister noted.
Vicente Loscertales expressed confidence that Kazakhstan has all opportunities for getting the official flag of the exhibition in June of this year.
He arrived in Kazakhstan on a working visit to learn about the progress of preparation for EXPO 2017.
