Kazakh PM Bektenov attends narrow-format Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting
Kazakhstan’s Premier Olzhas Bektenov attended the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in narrow format in Almaty, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The meeting was joined by the EAEU countries’ heads of government Roman Golovchenko of Belarus, Adylbek Kasymaliev of Kyrgyzstan, Mikhail Mishustin of Russia, deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan of Armenia, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
During the meeting, it was indicated the EAEU’s GDP growth stood at around 4% in 2024.
The need was highlighted for joint action to move closer to the Union’s common vision outlined in the Declaration on further development of economic processes until 2030 taking into account the latest trends in global economy, new technologies and innovations.
Mechanisms to promote joint agricultural projects aimed at greater sustainable production and innovative development, with a focus on plant breeding, seed production, livestock farming, agricultural processing, agribusiness infrastructure expansion, were discussed.
The participants also exchanged views on prospects for developing an integrated information system within the EAEU.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.
