The Head of State set the task to bring IT exports to up to 1 billion US dollars by 2026. Under this task, the work is ongoing to create the necessary infrastructure and provide support for business engaged in the sector. This has contributed to a more than 20fold increase in the export of IT services in the past five years, said Bektenov.

According to him, the key export directions for domestic IT products and services include the US, the UAE, the Netherlands, Great Britain, German and others.

Many Kazakhstani projects, including Alaqan, Codiplay, CITIX, CEREBRA, OGames, Parqour, ApartX, proved themselves as top-class ones in foreign markets, added the Kazakh Premier.

Bektenov went on to highlight that it’s necessary to focus on promoting acceleration programs in regions and expanding the range of partner-investors, with regional IT hubs and venture funds should serve as locomotives.

The Astana Hub technopark is now a true innovative cluster and key partner for many startups, as over 1,500 companies operate within it. Participants of Astana Hub are offered tax and visa preferences, information and educational support and business development programs, he concluded.
