Kazakh PM Bektenov, Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev meet

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov of Kazakhstan held a meeting with Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom State Corporation, primeminister.kz reports.

The meeting focused on cooperation in nuclear energy, quantum technologies, digitalization as well as exchanging competences and technologies, developing human resources.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the ongoing issues regarding modern technologies in those areas. In addition, cooperation among experts from different countries to further develop the areas was noted.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated the readiness of Rosatom to present its expertise regarding the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan.

To note, Kazakhstan joined the Declaration to triple nuclear energy by 2050.
