Kazakh PM held session on development of Shchuchinsk-Borovoye resort area
Opening the meeting, Akhmetov said that the President gave a number of instructions on further development of this resort area. For this purpose the Government adopted special action plan and allocated about 18 billion tenge for its realization.
Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau told about the implementation of the action plan. Minister of Environmental Protection Nurlan Kapparov reported on the measures to clean water bodies, implement solid waste recycling project in Shchuchinsk.
Vice Minister of Regional Development Serik Nokin informed on the progress of construction of water supply and sewage treatment facilities. Akim of the region Kosman Aitmukhametov also delivered his report.
Summing up the meeting, Serik Akhmetov emphasized the importance of timely and quality implementation of the Shchuchinsk-Borovoye resort development plan.
Head of Government instructed the Ministry of Industry jointly with the regional akimat and other government agencies provide an integrated action plan for the further development of the resort, taking into account the recommendations contained in the System Development Plan Bohr resort.
He instructed the Ministry of Environmental Protection to "take measures to address environmental issues with particular attention to activities on sanitation and cleaning water bodies."
In addition, Akhmetov urged Transport and Communications Ministry to work out the issue of providing adequate infrastructure for "Astana-Shchuchinsk" highway and reconstruction of the road "Astana-Korgalzhyn", opening of flights to Kokshetau from Aktau, Atyrau and Kyzylorda for the summer season. Ministry of Economy together with the administrators of budget programs should consider and make proposals for additional funding of projects in the region.
